Mural art painting of workers harvesting grapes for winemaking, with scenic vineyard fields in the background.

"The Grape Harvest" (Summer 1996)
Downtown Yuba City, CA
*Supervised by: James Morris Cotter
*Painted by: Yuba-Sutter Artists Group

In the summer of 1996, after my junior year in high school, I was part of a select group of artists (made up of high school and college art students) who painted three murals as part of a beautification project in downtown Yuba City, California. This painting – which I've named "The Grape Harvest" – was located on the corner of Plumas Street and Teegarden Avenue, on the side of a wine shop at that time. It has since been removed due to the discoloration and weathering damage it sustained from years of constant exposure to the sun.
